Batch File Renamer

Rename a group of files and download a ZIP.

How to use Batch File Renamer

  1. Choose the files to include in the rename preview; up to 100 files and 100 MiB total are supported.
  2. Set a prefix or suffix, decide whether to keep each original base name, and configure numbering or a literal text replacement.
  3. Review every before-and-after filename, then prepare and download the ZIP. The files on your device are not renamed.

What this tool does

The originals stay on your device; renaming does not change file format.

Example

For invoice-a.pdf and invoice-b.pdf, keep the original names, add a project prefix, and append three-digit numbering to produce a clearly ordered ZIP listing.

Frequently asked questions

Does this rename files in their original folder?

No. It creates a ZIP with the proposed names; the source files on your device are unchanged.

Will changing a filename convert the file format?

No. The original extension is retained. Renaming a .txt file to a name ending in .pdf would not make it a PDF, so use the correct extension for the actual content.
